Every day people learn something, this learning sometimes comes from good experiences and other ones come from mistakes. Unfortunately we don't learn from others mistakes and we have to pass through many things to learn lessons. Sometimes, people do the same mistakes more than once. Does this happen because we do the same thing trying to change something? Possibly, do we expect something different this time? Perhaps, did we get used to it? Or maybe, do we enjoy doing wrong things? Which ever the answer could be, at the end, we realized that nothing has changed and we did it again. Perhaps, we have to pass through the same action for destiny because we have done the same action until we finally change something. Everybody says that the difference between the animals and the human beings is that we can think and they act for intuition. However, animals never fell in the same hole twice as people do.
Do you think some day we will learn or we will still doing the same thing because to err is human?

I agree with you that most people like to learn things on themselves, even though the cost is expensive, but still they just can't internalized it until they feel it. I think it's bad, and I believe that what makes people smarter is the fact that they can learn from other people's mistakes.
I like you quote about the animals. It's so true; I remember my first dog, Lexi, after I showed her that when I stretch a rubber band and release on her nose (softly) it hurts, she remembered to run away from that stupid game of mine, as a child.
I guess people are more curios than most of the animals; they want to learn and explore more. On the way the make mistakes, some of them are small, but unfortunately some of them are big.
I don't want to plagiarizing Yaniv but this post is a very cool one. It is very hard to learn from other people mistakes and if anybody ask me why I would not find the right answer. It might be because of the construction of the human brain ? It might be because ignorance ? I have many reasons to write in here but in the end all I can say is :" I have no ideea" .
It depends from person to person. Avoiding mistakes that you see in other can easy lead you to what everybody call a succesfull person.
What I hate most it's the fact that we achieve the abilities to learn from other's mistakes only when sometimes is to late to do any good for us.
Let's hope that in the future people will become more receptive in learning how to avoid mistakes and how to stay away from things that can hurt them.
